Introduction

Another meal that could be fairly popular from Freshly. This one packs chicken with mac & cheese, along with some greens. A classic meal. Is it worth a try though? Let’s find out!

Summary: Freshly's Homestyle Chicken

Overall, Freshly’s Homestyle Chicken is an okay meal. There are a lot of bland green beans but not enough mac and cheese (the best part). The chicken is not crunchy despite being breaded nor is it juicy. This is one of those rare meals that aren’t worth a try.

Impressions & Taste

Upon taking off the sleeve, this meal looks the most accurate to its pictures. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of mac and cheese which is a shame.

Taking a bite of green beans, they’re just ordinary green beans. There aren’t any extra flavors or seasonings which would’ve helped with the taste. Freshly did provide a good amount of green beans though.

As for the mac and cheese, it’s surprisingly good! The flavors in the cheese are great but isn’t very stretchy. The macaroni isn’t super soft but it’s not hard either. I wish there was more mac and cheese as it was very tasty.

The chicken itself is not very good. I thought the coating would provide some crunchiness but instead it’s more soft and soggy. Biting into the chicken, it’s not very juicy and lacks some flavor. Maybe it was meant to be eaten in conjunction with the mac and cheese.
